Before & After Care

 

 

  

Hair Removal


6-8 treatments scheduled 4 to 6 weeks apart.  A maintenance treatment may be required every 6-12 months. After each treatment you will notice a significant reduction in hair growth. (Results will vary depending on the client).

 

Photorejuvenation


A series of 4 treatments is required scheduled 2-3 weeks apart. A follow up treatment is recommended every 6 months for optimum results.
The skin will appear radiant, refreshed and will show improved tone and texture, with a significant reduction of small red blood vessels and irregular areas of pigmentation.

BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT


·
 You cannot be tanned or have used tanning products or  solariums 14 days prior


·
 No exercise or activity that generates body heat for 4 hours prior to procedure.


·
 Do not wax the area.


·
 Shave a few days prior to the treatment to allow a growth of 1-2mm.


·
 You must not have had any injectables or be using resurfacing products (Retin A, AHA, Glycolics) within 14 days of treatment.


·
 Please discuss medical issues and medications with therapist prior to treatment.

AFTER CARE


·
 A  SPF30 full spectrum sun block is essential.


·
 Avoid excessive heat for 12 hours: Exercise, saunas, hot showers.


·
 For 24 hrs avoid: soaps, deodorants, harsh chemicals. No swimming in chlorine pools.


·
 Avoid sun exposure and no artificial tanning products or solariums during and minimum of 14 days following treatment.


·
 Apply ice packs if area becomes warm or uncomfortable.


·
 Should small blisters appear, do not pop or apply creams, but they may be covered with a sterile bandage.


·
 Allow 12 hours for skin sensitivity to ease, then singed hair can be shaved from treated areas.

 

 

 

 

Clients Who Are Not Suitable: 

  • Pregnant or breast feeding
  • Have tanned, used solariums, tanning products (2 weeks)
  • Have inflammatory skin conditions (except acne)
  • Have tattoo in the treatment area
  • Use of Roacutane (12 months)
  • Use of medications causing photosensitivity (6 months)
  • Epilepsy
  • Photosensitivity diseases such as Lupus
  • Herpes in the treatment area
  • Radiotherapy or Chemotherapy treatment (3 months)
  • Used steroids
  • Implants such as pacemaker, insulin pump etc
  • Use of Retin a of AHA (2 weeks) in the treatment area.
  • Never treat over moles
  • Active infections
  • Not suitable for Fitzpatrick 6
